• Prepare two bowls: one with normal tap water, the other with warm water - as hot as you can still being able to dip your fingers in.
• Wash your hands well and keep your finger or object to be used wet to avoid wax from sticking to it and improve print quality.
• Separate wax molds- they may sometimes stick to each other and immerse a single mold, in the hot water, as in the left drawing below and hold until the wax mold becomes flexible and real soft and bend downward when ready; it's color will get a little lighter,
• Carefully place the soft part of the wax mold between fingers (or objects) and press lightly - avoid twisting or smearing. If you desire to have prints on one side only - place the soft wax mold on a wet smooth surface – such as glass and press lightly. Allow a few seconds to cool than check the mold and make sure the prints are clear and visible as on samples below. The prints on the finished product will be as pronounced as your mold. If prints are not pronounced repeat the process with another mold making sure the wax is softer keeping it longer in the hot water.
• Dip the mold in the tap water for a few seconds until hard again. Remember that the quality of the prints on the finished item will be as pronounced and visible as they are on the wax mold you create and identical - so please make sure the wax mold is soft enough and the prints created are pronounced, clear and visible on the wax molds - as in the wax pictures below.
Send us back as many printed molds as posible so our designer will select the best one.
• Indicate with a marker the spot you want stone(s) to be set and a hanging hook - if a charm is desired. You may draw the outline you want on the mold. If you want your handwritten message or signature simply carve it with a sharp pencil on the front or back of the wax mold after taking the prints - within the boundaries of the fingerprints.
Place in the crush-proof box and send back as many printed molds as possible well wrapped separately in protective tissue and specify the one you like best.

Immerse in warm water for a few seconds. Change of color indicates the wax is softened and ready. Press between wet fingers to print on both sides, or against a smooth wet surface for prints on one side only.

Tips:

Young children and babies: It may be easier to animate the toe or heel, even tooth print rather than the usual thumbprints.

Enjoy experimenting with all the molds that are provided. Practice makes perfect, so use them all and learn how to create the prints and shape you like best. Send us your two favorite molds indicating the one you prefer.

The finished product will be identical to the mold you create, the shape and size you select!

Outline and contour: Some charms and pendants allow you to create any shape and outline you desire. While molding the warm soft wax you may control its shape exerting more pressure in the direction desired to achieve the shape you like. Avoid twisting and smudging. On the mold you are welcome to draw with a marker the exact outline you like.

Engraving: For clearer engraving it is best if the back side is smooth. Making sure the water is not too hot, immerse the mold, and press it against the bottom of the dish and hold for a few seconds. Remember to replace warm water with colder water before removing from the dish - allowing mold to harden. Let us know the font size and location of desired exact engraving.

A few prints together: Should you desire for more than a single print done on the same mold, step 4 must be executed simultaneously by all concerned. However if you encounter difficulties, make a separate mold for each and send them all to us, we will join then for you. A repeated dipping in the warm water will ruin the mold.

Charms: Let us know how you prefer to position your pendant by pointing out the top edge with a marker.

Setting : Point out your desired location of stone or stones to be set.

It is crucial to keep all surfaces, fingers and wax wet all the time to avoid sticking to the wax mold.
